There is no option for rollback in TS workflow, however you can work on in an external task upto some extent. For this you may need to log all the changes made by your workflow in a file and reference that for rollback.

My sledgehammer approach -

restore from backup your backing store to a state before the workflow started ;-)

(of course this does not take account deployments made to production)

It would be very complex to rollback a workflow and to keep track of all events occured.

As has been mentioned - there is no OOTB functionality for this (might make an interesting Feature Request ...)

As for implementing your own ...it depends on what you consider to be the previous state and up to what point you are willing to allow a "rollback".

The simplest form is to say that up until a submit to the TeamSite staging area is performed, all files associated with the workflow can have a Get Latest with overwrite (iwupdate -w) performed on them to restore them to their previously un-modified state.

This assumes that the files were not modified prior to the worklow beginning, which may or may not be a realistic assumption.

Another possibility is to build in a lot of redundancy into your system such that when a job starts up - all files associated with the job are copied to another workarea (possibly on another branch) and that on request of rollback, those files would be retrieved from that other workarea (this could potentially let you deal with rollback past the submit stage, but there are still a lot of complex issues to be figured out).

There are probably a number of other possible scenarios and solutions that could be concocted. If you're serious contemplating this - please make sure to do a thorough analysis and design before attempting to implement....
