Rotating Images

Does anyone know if there is a way in MediaBin to rotate images without having to check it out, download it, rotate it and reupload it? One of my users just uploaded a bunch of stuff that is in the wrong direction and is looking for a quick fix.

I believe you need to check in and check out all the wrong assets. You can do something like this:
Create a task with rotator transformer.
Check out all the assets (all at once).
Check in all the assets using the rotator task (all at once).

If the files are all in the same container, you can probably setup a couple of Hot Folders to do that quickly.
First hot folder will have the MediaBin container as an input point, and will drop files into a file share after rotating them.
Second hot folder will have the file share as an input point, and will re-import files into the container. The way hot folders work, if a file with the same name already exists it will just create a new version of the file.
Hope this helps!

Just to confirm, while there is such a thing as a "short circuit" job that runs from the filesystem to the filesystem, we do not have a direct way of executing a job starting from an asset in the repository and ending with an asset in the repository. That being said, the advice given earlier in the thread is all excellent.
Cheers,
