Searching for image's metadata values

My scenario is as follows.
I have searched MediaBin for an asset which is missing a particular metadata item. This is already done
I now need to search the asset I have found for a particular metadata item (which it may/may not have) I need value of the metaData item to determine where to move the asset to.
Any help will be appreciated.

Can you please provide a little more information as your original message is ambigous. Are you writing code for this? If so, what language? Are you using a Web Service or the MBPNetModel?
