can you have teamsite and iw-store communicate over the network?

hello,
i am having a disk space issue my iwstore migration fail because teamsite froze.
i am doing iwmigrate from d:\iw-store to x:\new-iw-store (x: is mapped drive over the network since i dont have enough disk space where ts is installed.)
and i was thinking if i can move my iw-store too to the map drive X:\ ... so iw-store path will be x:\store...
i tried to get it to work... but i get this error

it might be a permission thing that i need to check on monday. but i would like to some feed back about this idea. and what confuses me is that the nw-iwstore is ebing created just fine on the X drive. but teamsite wouldnt started with iw-store from there...
i am doing this on TS 6.5 SP2 that is installed on w2k3 sp1
and i moved my iw-store from d:\iw-store to x:\store on w2k (notice 2 different OS too )

It is possble to have backing store on mapped drive. Performance hit is serious though.

Your issue is probably caused by teamsite service log-in account. Check this and this KB Articles.
Also, make sure that you correctly typed the store location into registry entry, no typos etc.
