Need the display value of select

I am wondering anyone knows a way to get both the display and index values of a select list box in my presentation template. I can get the index value using iwpt_dcr_value('dcr.myselect') but don't know how to get the display value.

There are a couple of ways to do this -- probably more but 2 come to mind. You could put a hidden field in your DCT which holds the place of the displayed value. When you make a selection of this drop-down list, FormAPI will update the hidden field's value to reflect that of the displayed value in the drop-down list.

Otherwise, you could store an array in some global module / library somewhere and load in the drop-down list from there on the DCT side and perform a lookup from the presentation template.

Simplest solution is to keep both value and label same, and if you have for some reason need to check the index value that you can sufix to your value field and then can remove it while displaying in the PT.

To cut the long story short there is no direct mean to access the label in PT so have to work your way out.
