OD Monitor..IS there one as such?

Irrespective of OD version, is there something like OD service monitoring facility from Interwoven? For some reason OD service stops in the middle of the night. Log doesn't provide lot of helpful advice.

when i start it again in the morning, it is stable the whole day, but last weekend it stopped again with no genuine reason. Its weird.

Any suggestions or advices here please. Before i contact support.

There is not a monitor. I have written a perl script that runs every 10 minutes and looks for certain processes, including OD. It sends an email on failure.

Are you working with support ?

I remember an error (patch available on 6.0.2) where the last log entry was something like LOG_UTIL_RENAME error & OD would die.

If you're familiar with SNMP - OD provides for SNMP monitoring...
