delete files with no history in TS

Let’s say a file is created in my dev folder in Teamsite…


File contains meta tags to make page searchable and so forth…


File is “transferred to training” and appears in server/training.


File is searchable.


File is never pushed to production b/c it’s decided that we no longer need it
So we delete the file from our dev folder.

Page is still in server/training and is still searchable.


Since that file was never submitted it has no history…
So you can’t mark it as [delete] and transfer that to training.
The mark as [delete] and submit to both training and production is only available as an option if that page has a prior History in teamsite.


Is there a way for me to delete that file from the training server? What I’ve been doing till now is just making it an orphan file; any Suggestions?

Without file submissions are you directly copying the file from the workarea to your training server?

You may want to try this. You can do a directory comparison in Opendeploy and remove from the target, if it doens't exist in the source.
