Permission error with Form Template

When generating a template, I am getting a permission error:

FormsPublisher: Preview and Generate
Error: The following error occured while creating the file
/.iwmnt/intranet/main/dominionet/ba.sr/WORKAREA/work/sr/test.html
No permission to write file.
The templated file was not generated

I have checked my permissions and do not see a problem. We have not had this problem before. Help!

Are you doing any logging in your PT?
If so - the error may be referring to the permissions on the log file and not the generated file.

Is this a new branch, workarea, or user trying to do the generate?

Can you write a file to /.iwmnt/intranet/main/dominionet/ba.sr/WORKAREA/work/sr/ from outside teamsite while logged into the server with the same user?

Thanks all! The problem was actually that my ID and another user's ID had 17 groups associated with it. This caused some kind of permission hiccup. All is fixed. Thanks for the advice.

This is the old NFS(2) 16-group limitation issue - where only the first 16 groups (listed from top-to-bottom in the /etc/group file) will be acknowledged.

If this is likely to be an ongoing problem - you should look into creating TeamSite groups (where the groups are managed within TS instead, or in addition to, the OS) which does not have this limitation. This feature was added in 6.5 and enhanced in 6.7.

(Note: this only works for groups that are used exclusively within the TeamSite file system / backing store - not for the local file system)
