MBPSysAdmin not found in control panel
Bill Klish
MediaBin 4.5.3
Windows 2003 EE SP1
Following page 481 of the Server Administration Guide, I don't see this icon in control panel no matter who I log into the server as (administrator, account running the MB process, etc.). Is this normal?

I am not sure if it is a doc bug or there is something missing. I have never seen it in the Control Panel. It is in your installation directory MBPSysAdmin.cpl.

Perhaps it is a doc bug. I did a search across my entire server for anything named close to that and it doesn't exist.
So, if you can't access the mediabin installation properties here, how can you move your data directory?
msrinivas
There are two locations that need a change to move MBDataDirectory.
1. Stop Services
2. Unshare MBDatadirectory
3. Move it
4. Reshare it by the same name and same permissions
5. Change value in registry
6. Change value in MBSettings table of SQL Server
7. Restart services
Remember you have to move the MBDatadirectory and not just ImageDB.

Do I need to file a support case for the documentation to be updated to remove that whole bit about the control panel and the associated screen shots of it?

MBPSysAdmin.cpl file should be there in the directory where you installed MB. If not I am thinking that the installation was not clean.
The control panel wording in the documentation might be a little misleading. I will have one of the engineers comment about it.
