What is the imact of increasing resolution of website on livesite components coding?
sam_cancer
What is the impact of changing the screen resolution of website from 600*800 to 1024*786. Again, what will be impact (in general, like assets to be redesigned, extra space on the screen, components to be resized, etc).

The impact will depend upon how the components were designed. If they were built with a "liquid" design then resizing in the page editor one of these components from say 300 pixels of width to 400 pixels of width would cause the component content to flow into the extra space.
If you built your components with static sizes (fixed widths) then resizing the components may give it more space, but that space may not be utilized. However, if you are moving from a 800x600 to 1024x768 to give you more space on the page (for example and extra column for content) then fixed width components may not be any kind of issue.
This is very much a case-by-case issue with lots of variables. We've designed sites in the past that were so graphically intensive with zero tolerance for aligning components, and for these tightly coupled layouts sometimes it is necessary to revisit the components so they will better fit the new layout.

Hi Rex,
How do you "built with a "liquid" design" layout in livesite?
