Grey screen when opening DCR

Hi,

I've got a user who seems to be experiencing a grey screen when trying to open a DCR that uses a VisualFormat field.

If a DCR doesn't have a VF field, it loads fine.

He's recently upgraded his JRE to 1.5.10 and has installed Acrobat as well, so I'm wondering if either of these events has had an impact as it only seems to affect him.

If anyone has any ideas, it'll be appreciated

Could you please provide your working environment for TS? Also try to degrade your Java/JRE 1.4.

Hi,

We're on TS 6.5 and Windows 2003 Server. It seems to only happen for one user out of 10, so I think I'll take your advice and get them to revert back to an older JRE.

Hi,

Similar type of issues are related to the jre versions.
But the effect of Java/JRE version should affect all the users and not a particular one, I guess.

We've finally nailed down the problem thanks to an old e-mail telling us that there are compatibility issues when using TeamSite and Firefox. Opening the same screen in IE didn't give the grey screen, so that's one for our little knowledge base Smiley Happy

Hi,

The issue is simply that certain elements of TS just does not work in Firefox, including missing tab headers and strange behaviour with the VF editor - ewebeditpro.

I'm not sure if 6.7 is more Firefox friendly, but it's quickly becoming the browser of choice for our users.

With regards to my issue above, firebug a plugin for Firefox shows this when attempting to open a DCR with a VF field in it.

Does your TS uses an proxy webserver for redirecting you clients request to TS server ?

Also please confirm me whether Sun JVM is used from client side and what version is that?

Please try accesing using Micrsoft JVM from client machine. I believe this will allow you to get the page.

Has anyone solved this issue yet? We are experiencing same issue on VS format enabled DCRs on Firefox 2.0. Of course the work around is using IE but bulk of our users use Firefox.

This is a firefox add on which will allow users to use IE rendering engine. I tried this and it works for me.
