DataDeployment issue - Could not able to connect to DB or service down

Env : W2K3 SP1, TS 6.5 SP2, OD 6.0.2 SP1

We are trying to set up the new box. We are following this sequence W2K3 base -> TS 6.5 Base + OD 6.0.2 base -> TS 6.5 SP2 + OD 6.0.2 SP1 -> W2K3 SP1. This sequence worked for us before. Now the OD is working fine. But DD is giving trouble. Here I have issues with two options
1. If I keep classes12.zip as it is,
It is giving the error like 'Could not able to connect to the database'...
2. If I replaced the zip file with new,
the OD service is going down once it got the request for data deploy.

Could you please help me to move forward? I appreciate your quick help.

1.Do you have the Oracle client installed on the TeamSite server ?If yes Are you able to connect to the Oracle Server ? Whats the Oracle version ?

2.Try to copying the Oracle JDBC driver from either Oracle client or server to OpenDeploy ? (Is that what you've already tried ?)

Try copying oracle-home/jdbc/lib/classses12.zip to od-home/drivers from another Oracle installation in your network just to be sure.

3.Make sure that the database.xml has the correct connection string for Oracle.

Thanks for your reply..You gave me the correct direction, thats alot.

1. Oracle 10g. Yes,I can able to connect.
2. I tried this now - this works, but interwoven is saying, this is not required.
3. these are correct.
