Dynamic Updation of template labels

Dynamic Updation of template labels: TS 6.7.1 SP2, Win 2003

Does any have an idea if one can change the labels that appear in the datacapture.cfg based on the browser locale? I personally think this is not possible unless one tries something extremely extraordinary. I would request the Gurus to confirm my understanding.

Hi, Some days I saw a thred roaming with applying dct label through JS in 6.7.1. check that if that was successful and if you are able to find your browser locale through JS why can't be this done.

Depends on how ambitious (read portable) you want your solution to be and how much resources you are ready to invest.
Please note that TS 6.7.x allows you to set labels/Descriptions via FormAPI. As long as you know Browser locale you
can then use for example callServer to obtain Locale's Label List and use callback function to apply it. Finding
locale however is another story.

There is no mechanism to find Locale in Java Script. Depending on the browser you may try to use
navigator.[ language | userLanguage | browserLanguage | WhoKnowsWhatElse ] to find language instead, that may be sufficient.
VBScript has GetLocale function but that again boils down to portability issue.
