SiteMinder Web Access Manager

TeamSite does integrate OOTB with SiteMinder Policy Manager. However, as far as I understand, the SSO happens within the corporate network.

Has anybody tried using SiteMinder Web Access Manager as well? Is it supported? or going to be supported?

I hope I get an urgent answer from Sunil or other product folks, this is a pretty urgent issue and is in interest of IWOV.

I believe the IWOV response is probably going to be towards 6.7.1SP1's ability for TS to use "non-OS-users" (users who are identified in LDAP/AD but not with local disk accounts) -- this supposedly will make integration for SSO easier (based on what I heard at GearUp) - however it doesn't come for "free".

If you use non-OS-users you have to use a completely different PT engine (e.g.: XSLT) so any pre-existing PTs would have to be re-written, and you might have to make sure that all externaltask's are envoked via URLs or something. I'm not entirely sure of all the caveats but the PT one I definitely noticed during the presentation at GearUp and I think there were a few others....

why is that? why PTs will need to be rewritten?

I would definitely like to hear from IWOV. Our guys here tried to webify CC STD via enterprise portal, and have chieved some limited functionality.. No luck with CC PRO, though..

Something about the existing PT processing being Perl-based and thus running as a CLT "as the user" - which it won't be able to do if the user doesn't have an account at the OS level. I asked at GearUp for them to make sure to document these issues well, because it's likely to trip-up a number of folks who only see the "big print" ... we'll see what happens when SP1 comes out.
