Running .ipl on remote machine through mapped drive access

This is the scenario - I am having mapped drive access to TeamSite folders present on a remote machine where TeamSite is actually installed. I need to run and test .ipl files present in those folders using iwperl.exe file from my machine with mapped drive access. Has anyone tried this before? Will TeamSite class functions in .ipl work if I do this?

I would be grateful if anyone can share similar experience.

I do not believe you can run iwperl via a mapped drive to another machine (where iwperl is actually located)

You need to either telnet or ssh (Unix) or Remote Desktop (Windows) to the server in order to run iwperl.

Migrateduser

I would create a custom menu item that would open a form containing a text box where you could write commands and submit them to be run on the server.

The perl behind the menu item would just run the command and return any results back.

I think there may be a Knowledge Base article on this.

I also use Remote Desktop as this is the best option. But not all admins will give users access.
