Is Contentcenter Standard going away?

Hi there,

I am very new to Interwoven products, so please bear with me! ;-) I am a web designer/developer and we were looking at using Professional for the developers and Standard for the staff that will actually be making the content changes.

Someone I work with said they believed they had read that the Standard version of Contentcenter was going away.

Can anyone confirm this? We are currently on 6.5 about to go to 6.7 I believe.

If Standard is going away, there is no reason to dig into the product, create user guides, etc.

I've looked everywhere, but have not been able to confirm or prove no truth to it. Support contract won't address 7.0 I don't think.

If you want an authoritative answer for a question like this you have essentially three choices:

Beyond that, it's pretty much conjecture.My guess - the rumor is just that, a rumor. Despite my dislike for CCStd, it was developed for a particular class of user and does appear to be used by a number of customers, so I think it unlikely that it will go away any time soon. It's more likely that it will be re-vamped or "enhanced". Whether or not that will play havoc with customizations or user training material is anyone's guess though

Hi,

I haven't seen any plans to remove CCstd from TeamSite. We still have a lot of customers who use it. There may be come features added or improvements to the UI in TeamSite 7, but I don't think it will be removed.
