iwxml_validate.ipl error

On a freashly installed copy of TeamSite 6.7.1 Windows 2000 SP4 i get the following error when I try to use iwxml_validate.ipl on templating.cfg

Here is the result:

\iw-home\local\config>iwperl d:\iw-home\bin\iwxml_validate.ipl templating.cfg
ERROR: templating.cfg Couldn't parse contents of external DTD :syntax error at line 26, column 49

Can somebody encountered this before? Please guide...

Hi,

Yes, i see the same error and this happend becuase the tag should be closed before the comments started, something interwoven should be changing.
Open the file in a Internet explorer and you should be able to see the error.

Thanks a lot Mak. We have a situation where we are foced to change the templating.cfg file manually. Once changed we would need to validate to know if it's ok. If found erroneous we would need to revert the backup file.

In such cases tools like iwxml_validate can be of great use. Hence the use of this tool for us is very important.

Do you personally think the changing to the dtd manually is advisable? I am planning to do it anyway. Just wanted to get your expert opinion.

Making this small change in the dtd should not be a problem.
But even after making this change i am getting the following error:
ERROR: Bad file descriptor

Any IDEA .. ??

I was going to post the same in a minute got the same error. I think we need to take this to Interwoven as a bug. This thread would be of great use. Thanks a lot for you efforts and insights.
