Unhandled Exception does not allow install OpenDeploy 6.1

We have a server to which we tried to install a receiver version of OpenDeploy 6.1. When the install process starts it stops abruptly with the following message:

Unhandled Exception
Error Number: 0x80040706
Description: Object reference not set

Setup will now terminate

Any ideas of whether this is a OpenDeploy error or an InstallShield error and how I can resolve this problem?

What OS are you installing on?

Hi Axel,

Make sure you not installing the the receiver on the server where base is installed.

You cannot install the receiver software on a host that already has base server software installed.
