Disable event subsystem

TS 6.7.1 Solaris 10

I would like to disable the event subsystem.

We do not require search, reporting etc.. just want teamSite basics.

As previously posted the event sub system hogs disk, we are not going to provide a database for it.

Basically what I want to know is can I do this via disabling the start up scripts?

Will this have any known adverse effects on TS functionality?

Take a look here to see how it is done in 6.5. This sort of things is not always backward compatible so you may want to double-check with support

Yes, you need to manually delete the finished workflows for the backing store.

Huh, is this new in TS 6.7.1? Is this for all WF, or only those based on the new WFM?

For TS 6.5 this was not the case AFAIK. There was even a support KB (linked by ISCBorisB above) how to disable the event subsystem - which we implemented.

Hi by disabling event subsystem the new WFM workflows won't be deleted automatically once the job is finished.You have to delete the completed jobs manually.For that go to <>/iwadmin/main/workflowModels/WORKAREA/iw-wa/Instance/ModelInstance
in your TS and delete the files of completed jobs (you can see the jobids with modelname.)

Correct. You will not need to do this.
