LS 3.0 : is it possible to configure the TinyMCE used in textarea datum?
Frederik
The textarea datum in LS3.0 is an instance of TinyMCE that comes with a boatload of buttons (± 70). (*)
Is it possible to configure a textarea datum with another, simpler instance of TinyMCE?
(*) Even including the Spell check button that says "ieSpell not installed" and then takes the end-user to the iespell website... not quite what we want the enterprise end-user to go through.
EDIT: cool, this is my 400th post, good for platinum  Imagine if everything was properly documented, we'd all still be wood, or whatever the entry level is

Yes it is possible to override the tinyMCE config. This is a global change which can be made in the livesite_customer\resources\customer-livesite-resource-config.xml. First open web-inf\conf\livesite\resouces\livesite-resource-config.xml and copy the springbean with the id="livesite.ContentProperties.TinyMCE".
Copy this bean definition to customer-livesite-resouce-config.xml.
remove the plugins you don't want from the following element:
<prop key="plugins">table,advhr,advimage,advlink,iespell,insertdatetime,preview,zoom,flash,searchreplace,print,contextmenu,paste,directionality,fullscreen,noneditable,form;</prop>
and keep in mind you may have to remove buttons from the themeAdvancedButtons#Add props based on the following table:
http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Control_reference
Restart LiveSite after you have made these changes.

thx miroperez.
I actually noticed now that this
is
documented in ls_300_dev_v1_en.pdf appendix G. Oops
Well, it's very high-level description with somewhat of a trial-and-error learning curve.
For others who read this, I'll add the full path to the files you mentioned:
$iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src/etc/conf/livesite_customer/resources/customer-livesite-resource-config.xml
$iw-home/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/livesite/resources/livesite-resource-config.xml
Anyway, this one-size-fits-all global config isn't really what I was hoping for.
It's a start though.
