Teamsite version and OS platform would be helpful info.

- is this a new install?
- has this worked before and only now fails?

- if it worked before, did you knowingly change some configs?

- if it is a fresh install,
-- what config did you choose for the event subsystem DB? (default flatfile db, or some RDBMS?)
-- if you choose non-default RDBMS, did you actually create the event subsystem RDB as instructed in the install guide?

I would suggest you attach iw-home/eventsubsystem/conf/jmsconfignew.xml file also.

EDIT: when posting jmsconfignew.xml, you could choose to obfuscate any password values in there Smiley Wink

I structured my questions wrong... these are still needed info

-- what config did you choose for the event subsystem DB? (default flatfile db, or some RDBMS?)
-- if you choose non-default RDBMS, did you actually create the event subsystem RDB as instructed in the install guide?

I would suggest you attach iw-home/eventsubsystem/conf/jmsconfignew.xml file also.

so you're using the default flat-file db for event subsystem

(as an aside: you should know that this will not work for a production machine - the db file grows into the many GB within hours. Use Search for more...)

Looks like a problem on the disk to create or write to the db file. Could be a bad shutdown previously, or out of space?

Try steps 1-2-3 from KB article 54026

1. Stop all the related services in the following order:
- Interwoven TeamSite Search
- Interwoven TeamSite Index
- Interwoven Event Subsystem

2. Remove the iw-home/eventsubsystem/openjms.db and openjms.lg files.

3. Restart the Interwoven services in the following order:

- Interwoven Event Subsystem
- Interwoven TeamSite Index
- Interwoven TeamSite Search
