How to insert a line break into a task description?

I am tring to add user's input into a grouptask description as follows:

<grouptask lock = "t" name = "ReviewContent" start = "f" readonly = "f" description = "__INSERT__($description_header);Please review content Commentslithium_INSERT__($comments);" retainowner = "f">

How could I insert a line break before "Comments"? I've been tried using <br> and \n and LF and none of them worked.

You can't, do not waste time trying. It's XML Tags attributes in both WF Specifications and TS Task Objects.

In theory you can hack cc[pro|std].workflow servlets and make them recognize your custom Tagging without
angle brackets - not a practical option IMO

Out of curiosity - did you try to use

&lt;br /&gt;

or just

<br />

- also did you try using \r, and/or \r\n instead of just \n?

I'm not saying any of it will work - but those are the general things I can think of that might work...

Thanks all of you. I tired <br /> \r and \r\n, and none of them worked. I don't think there is an easy way to do that.

If you can describe it, what *have* you seen instead of the expected result? Have you seen just the raw backslashes instead of it being parsed as an escape character?

Probably, Dave is asking you to try \\n.
