Issues with Mac/Safari
suj
One of our users using Mac is unable to view anything on the mediabin web client. The only thing she is able to view is the preview tv and the logo but the folders/assets does not load. The status bar shows that around 100 items are waiting to be downloaded. The browser is Safari version 2.0.4. We have verified that javascript and popups were allowed. Has anyone experienced similar issues on Mac? The webclient seems to work fine on PC as well as non-safari browsers for Mac (firefox/camino)
Env: Mediabin 4.5.3/windows 2003
TIA

I don't have that issue on my MacBook. Tell me why the user doesn't use FireFox instead?

I have seen this on the Mac Native Client, but not the Web Client (Safari or Firefox).

MediaBin 4.5.3 should work on Safari. We've made many exceptions in the code to support Safari. I've noticed errors are not always displayed to the user. If something goes wrong, the page is simply left blank. I'm guessing an error is occurring, but not sure why.
Have you checked the error console for Safari? Have you opened the Console window and examined any of the log files for errors?
The other possibility is to run tcpflow to take a trace of the HTTP traffic over port 80 when the user logs onto the web client.
