TS 6.5 SP2 to 6.7.1

CRB

Hello,
i just got done upgrading TS from 5.5.2 to 6.5 sp2, so now i have new TS 6.5 sp2 functioning properly (migrated store and everything was done properly)... do you recommand moving it up to 6.7.1 since im only few steps away or is it gonna be time consuming and issues?

is it gonna be simple upgrade to just install 6.7.1 on top of 6.5 sp2?

The upgrade itself is pretty easy, I have done it on a few occasions. You certainly should do it on your test server and verify there are no issues. I had some issues here and there, but nothing significant.

Hi Chris,

As nipper said, the upgrade itself easy. All you need to worry about is your customization that you might have done using perl or java. You will have to make sure they function properly in the upgraded TeamSite version.

Is not only to your customization, even for your workflows and templates you might have to check.

6.7.1 comes with the Workflow Modeler.
There are enhancements that make this version worth upgrading to. You should probably go through the release notes and gauge what all is worth your while. I think that the release notes would be the best place to begin with.

If you do any kind of customizations based on roles - you may need to re-engineer those customizations to work with the flex-roles in 6.7.1 (there have been posts / threads regarding this - and there is some documentation in the manuals I believe)

Administering roles for users on branches is significantly different - you need to get familiar with the new iwaccess CLT.

Other than that, I think it's pretty straight forward - provided you follow the documentation.
