callback from callserver error

TS 6.7.1 on Windows.

I am getting this weird error while doing this callserver.

Here is my ipl snippet, for some reason my array is not getting populated.

If you are intending to initiate a 2 element array then probably a comma is missing in between the values.

my @myuserlist = ("C:\Interwoven\TeamSite\bin\iwgroup list-users", "$cgi_region");

no you got it all wrong kaalra. I am trying to run iwgroup comman on a group to get users. the result of running iwgroup is a array of users.

Escape reverse slash and redirect STDERR:

my @myuserlist = `C:\\Interwoven\\TeamSite\\bin\\iwgroup list-users \"$cgi_region\" 2>&1`;

or better:

my @myuserlist = map {chomp $_; $_;} qx(C:\\Interwoven\\TeamSite\\bin\\iwgroup list-users "$cgi_region" 2>&1);

Can you please clarify what your issue is? That's what you've posted originally:

In the code fragment you've posted you do not use "@myuserlist" anywhere after populating it. How do you try to pass an array back?

Are you sure you can pass an array from back to the scriptFrame?

I would try looping thru the array in perl passing individual values back.

Also, this wouldn't work in javascript&colon;

I believe you're mixing Perl syntax (myuserlist)with Javascript syntax here (function / alert) - which I don't believe will ever work the way you desire.

As for your original Perl code - Try the following highlighted changes:

Hopefully some of that will help - though I still don't know what $cgi_region is supposed to contain and what TESTFUN is supposed to do with it...

Note that for all these to work your Perl CGI must generate html Page with syntactically correct Java Script.
If you look at it from this prospective you'll realize that <script language="javascript">@myuserlist</script>
can not possibly work. I'm not sure what did you expect to happen there but in any case that can not be correct Java Script.

What you're generating is something like[html]<script language="javascript">
foo\boo
foo\moo
...
</script>[/html]Obviously that causes JS evaluation error.

What you have to do is decide first what is that you want to see there and then make your perl generate it.
For example, it may be JS Array that you intend to pass back: var callBackArray = new Array('foo\boo','foo\moo',...);

You will need to itereate through the perl array @myuserlist, store to a javascript array object and then pass the javascript array object to callBack function.

In the callback function TESTFUN, iterate through the array object to get your values.
