FormAPI 6.7.1 selected option issues

I'm building an form to produce an xml style DCR.

In this form I have defined a select control which gets its options from a callServer.

The item is populating fine and I am able to select an option and save the value. I have confirmed that the value is being saved to the xml dcr.

When opening up the xml DCR again after saving the value. The previously saved value is not accessible to me through FormAPI. All I'm trying to do is get the value that was saved. I am trying to do this before calling the callserver. How do I get the saved value? Note even if I remove all my code and change the item to a text control I cant see the value. I cant even see the value if I preview the dcr? Anyone have any ideas?

I have a lead I thought I'd share. The DCT I'm using uses the feature. When I remove the tab aspect of the DCT everything works as expected. Perhaps its an issue with FormAPI used with tabs, perhaps its an item address issue. I'm not really sure at this point.

The dcr type is xml. There is nothing wrong with the DCT. I've double checked the addresses and items. I think the simple fact is that TeamSites ability to restore the dynamic options breaks when you use the tabs feature. Have a look. When tabs are used its like the item, its options and selected options dont exist.

I think I had a simlar issue.. try, instead of


<select />

put in a dummy item (which gets overwritten by the callServer anyway, so it should never show).
