Media Comparison tool

Would like to know if there are any software available that would assist in comparing two digital media. For example in a shopping site, after selecting a particular product, it can be compared interms of prices, specs etc. Similarly we have our CMS which stores assorted digital assets. The requirement is to compare a product interms of prices, review comments etc. Is there any software/component available in the market which can be plugged into the system?

I do not think that there is anything out of the box, but it sounds like a reasonably easy customization.
