OD and oracle locks?

On a few occasions, our oracle 9i server has required a bounce due to an excessive number of table locks. This occurred during a high number of parallel OD's which contain a dbLoader push to the database. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

For now, we have increased the number of allowed locks on the DB in hopes of mitigating this issue.
