TS master and workareas

Hello,
i login to TS 6.5 as a master (A), i create this workarea X and owned by Y.
i go to that workarea and download the file, edit it, when i try to upload it back, it says pemission denied... i thought if i login in as a master i should be able to do almost anything?

how much rights do you have as a master inside any workarea inside teamsite? and how can i change the owner or that workarea?

Almost is a key word here. Make sure that you are a member of "Group for Sharing" for this workarea

yes that s some more info i needed to mention:
the workarea is shared by group calld group_dev and i am member of that group

Please get to a branch in CCPro and click "Properties" of this WA. Review. Double-check that you belong to the group.
If you still have questions after that, post the screen-shot

ok i have a master role and my username is PROD\chris. i want to work (edit) in this workarea "Boise", but it can't (permission issues).

i have a group in the machine called "sub_branchA" and i am a member of that group.

can anybody see what i am missing to have the proper permissions as a master to work in that workarea?

It looks like you should be able to upload WA assets if you are a member of serverA\Admin group. Few annoying SIDs are probably
the result of transition and should not matter. So...Have you checked that WA Owner can upload? Is it possible that you or
somebody else modified assets security settings from Windows File interface? Can you post error message screen shot?

i am working on that, i will update you when i do it, but this is another question, does it take too long to update permissions on a branch or sub branch?
because i am on windows, and i change premissions on a branch (directory) but when i click on apply changes it freezes "takes too long"... o i know that i have many workareas under that branch and many files under each workarea, do you think it is updating the permissions of all those files that s why it is taking too long?

any better idea on how to change permissions/owner of workarea?

Create a new workarea with the correct permissions - do a Get Latest, and then a Compare To ... the other workarea to bring over any modifications that you want to keep - then get rid of the old workarea (and if desired, rename the new workarea in place of the old one)
