Open search result in outlook with SDK

I am new in the SDK and I am trying to use the SDK with VB to send search parameter to FileSite and then get the result in Outlook FileSite.
I am using the example of SearchCmd in iManage Extension Library for WorkSite Developer's Guide.pdf
Page 128 and on after pending the login but I don’t know how to some of the setup to get the right result.
How can I setup the parameters mention over there ?

‘pNRTDMS is the NRTDMS object
‘hWnd is the parent window handle (Long)
‘pNRTSessionArray is a safe array of one NRTSession object

Is anyone have a working example of this kind of application ?

This currently unsupported by the SDK; that is, the results returned by the SearchCmd execution does not get displayed in the FileSite document grid. There isn't a mechanism to communicate this - displaying the search results from my SeachCmd - to FileSite.

And now let say that I want to define some search criteria for documents and show a list of the result (even in local form, not FileSite) and be able to open the files from the form.
I am working with VBA
Is it possible?
Is there any example for something like this?

Are you using the ICommand Interface to add a custom command in FileSite? If so, then in 8.2 Patch 4 (and forwards), you can now display the search results like so:

(1) The command progid must have the following substring - “CustomizedDocumentSearchCommand”. For example, you might name yours something like "ACMECustomziedDocumentSearchCommand1".

(2) The new interface supports the following input context items (these can be ignored according to the requirements of your customization):

A. "SearchDatabaseName", variant if BSTR, database to search
B. "SelectedFolderObject",variant of VT_DISPATCH, only search in this folder and subfolders
C. "GetSearchParametersOnly",Variant of VT_BOOL, if true, don’t do document search. Only show dialog box to collect search parameters.
D. "IManReSearchedContainer”, variant of VT_DISPATCH, used when redoing the search, should not show dialog.
E. "IManReSearchParameters", variant of VT_DISPATCH, for IManSearchParameters interface when redoing the search. should not show dialog.

F. "ReSearchedDatabases", variant of array of BSTRs for databases when redoing the search. should not show dialog.

(3) The new interface supports the following output context items, which must be returned

A. "IManExt.CancelMessage" , Variant of VT_BOOL, if true, the user chooses to cancel the search
B. "IManSearchParameters", variant of VT_DISPATCH, for IManSearchParameters interface
C. "SelectedNRTSessions", variant of array of BSTRs for session names, usually only one session. You probably know.
D. "SearchedDatabases",variant of array of BSTRs for databases. You probably know.
E. "IManSearchedContainer" variant of VT_DISPATCH, the container to search for.

The SDK manual, Creating Custom Commands in WorkSite.pdf, has reference info on how to developer an ICommand custom command.

Where are you executing this VBA code, i.e, from within FileSite (??), Office Integration, etc? If you're familiar with Windows form, specifically in VB, you should be able to add a form and add a list box or some type of grid control to display the search results set, which is a collection of documents, returned by the searchcmd. You would iterate through the collection to put each item in your form control.

This is a very old thread, but I'm wondering if any changes here:

Can I get results returned by the SearchCmd execution displayed in the FileSite document grid?

Any update on this with newer versions of File Site?
