Implicitly count document state : Required, Approved, etc

I am using the solution toolkit v2.0 which provide connectors that update and shows the properties of workspace and projects.

In Connector:[Command and Pages] tab, there are content and Refresh jsp file. My question is :-

1. When I add the connector content, is the jsp of Refresh triggered, as long as I add it inside the connector's [Command and Pages]?

2. The RefreshContent.jsp suppose to count and update the document state but in my case there is no changes in the field (and SQL Server database as well). Did I do something wrong?
