EXCEL macro for inserting a footer
ItayZohar
Hi
Is anyone ever use an excel macro for inserting the document number into the excel footer?
I need an example of excel macro, like the custft8xEAI.dot for WORD footer which can help me connect to excel and get some data.
Thanks
Itay Zohar

It works exactly the same way as its counter part, custft8xEAI.dot, does. The only thing you should need to change is adding the workbook_open event to startup the autoexec routine. Like so:
[ThisWorkbook.cls]
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
AutoExec
End Sub

hi
i tried to create the add in macro for the footer in excel but i get some problem with it
i cannot create the handler for the sink application events
while i hitting the debug, some function get an error debug
function like :
Private Sub objApplication_DocumentBeforeSave(ByVal Doc As Document, _
SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean
or
Private Sub objApplication_DocumentOpen(ByVal Doc As Document
and any other handlers cannot be catch
i am using the same code of the WORD (changing the word.application to excel.application)
anyone have any ideas ?
anyone have an example for excel connecting to file site and manipulate some text ?
thanks

That's because those are native event handlers for a Word Document Object. In Excel, from the top of the VBA code window of the SinkObject Class, select the sink object (representing the Excel application) on the left-hand side drop-down listbox, then click on the down arrow associated with the right-hand side drop-down list to see the native event handlers.
For example, the open and before save events for Excel are:
Private Sub objAppSink_WorkbookBeforeSave(ByVal Wb As Workbook, ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
End Sub
Private Sub objAppSink_WorkbookOpen(ByVal Wb As Workbook)
End Sub
