item.setfocus () is not working....

Hi,

We have created new DCT, where in the title should be read only once entered.

But if you edit the DCR, automatically my cursor point to the title and i am able to edit the title eventhough it is read only. And if once the cursor is removed from that place, i am not able to point the cursor to the title(which is the right behaviour).

so i decided to give the setfocus() method to point the cursor to some other field. So it will not affect my title. But unfortunately the setFocus() is working properly. I am using TS 6.1.

somebody can share ur ideas.....

Hi,

I think you made some typo while typing your post.
I assume here your setfocus() is not working.
Have you made the title field readonly after populating values into that text field in the onload function ? Check under which event your readonly statement is executed ?
