Admin Tab for Master User

Getting on - Env TS 6.7.1 on Solaris 10

As 'master' role everyone is getting the Admin Tab in CCpro, however we have requirement - it should not be visible to all the master users.

Any suggestions / pointers as how to restrict the admin tab in gui for the users, despite having a 'master' access role?

I don't think it is possible. I believe it is set in inaccessible, non-configurable code.

I did check the reference files for that cc pro tabset (ref_ccpro_ui_common.xml -- look for id="iw.ccpro.common.tabset") and couldn't even find any references to that Admin tab. I only see references for:
id="iw.ccpro.filesys.tab"
id="iw.ccpro.workflow.tab"

Plus the concept of master user has changed since back in the day. It's not really a role anymore even though they keep calling it that, but more of a property that makes a user a master. This takes configuration outside the scope of how you would normally modify the UI based on role (by giving it an operation id that allows you to de/select it from the Manage Roles area).

As always, I'd love if someone would correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there a particular reason why users on the system need to be masters. In 6.7.1 there is really very little reason to make a non System Admin user a Master, unless you have hard coded Master access as a requirement into some customization.

what is your requirement? Explain in detail? Check the UICG if that allows customising tabs, then you can probably restict the Admin tab for some users..
