Could not establish conection from a new Workflow Modeler for TeamSite 6.7.1

Hi All,

I am getting this type of error when i try to login to new workflow modeler.

(1) Here is the description of the error message:
Connection to the TeamSite could not be established. Please verify server name & domain name or view the workflowModeler.log file for more information.

I already verified that server name and domain name were correct.

(2) Here is the description from the WorkflowModeler.log

org.apache.axis.utils.JavaUtils - Unable to find required classes (javax.activation.DataHandler and javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart). Attachment support is disabled.

2007-02-08 11:46:24,312 [AWT-EventQueue-1] ERROR com.interwoven.modeler.core.login.TSRepositoryLogin - com.interwoven.cssdk.common.CSException: (java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect)

(3) Here is the information about my platform
Operating System: Windows 2003 (VMWare)
TeamSite: 6.7.1
Workflow Modeler: 1.0

Do you have (purchased?) a SOAP license from Interwoven?
I believe they require such a license / installation in order for the client to communicate with the server (personally, I think it should come with it - or a suitable subset)

I checked teamSite 6.7.1 (admin) documentation about SOAP licence. It is possible that it could be missing a soap licence key.
This new VMWare with teamSite 6.7.1 given by consultants.

Is this SOAP licence is something they have to purchase for a fee or is it come with teamSite 6.7.1 for free?

(2) Is there any way to tell from teamSite 6.7.1 whether SOAP licence key is installed or not?

I think they were licensing it separately earlier, but you can get it with the bundle now. Though you might have to go through support for it.

I believe this is now included by default with the 6.7.1 install package, but was not included during the beta.

The key can be found by downloading the CS SDK software package and finding the key in a text file in the install location.

The installation prompts me to login, but it doesn't seem the same as the workflow user's manaual installion pic and setup. In addditon, It does not accept my server name or domain name, however I am certain the the information that I input is correct.

I believe that 6.7.1 / WFM 1.0.0.0 required a separate SOAP license, but 6.7.1 SP1 / WFM 1.0.0.1 had the SOAP license built-in. So, if you're not using the latest versions you might want to try upgrading...

Does your iw.cfg inform you that you have 6.7.0. In the command prompt check the version, it should probably say that you have the 6.7.1 build. This could be the reason that the soap server wasn't fully installed. Is this accurate ghotti

Please look at the cssdk.cfg file located in iw-home/cssdk directory. There should be a line that says cs.soap.license or something like that. If you have that line filled out, then the soap server is installed. If not, then your soap server is not installed. If not, then you will need to call interwoven support for the key. If you have TS671 SP1, you can find out if soap server is installed by going to the services on windows, on Solaris you'll need to use a ps like:
