Application server vs. Teamsite (OpenAPI/Turbo)
CapMike
Can the Turbo engine be used to integrate with other application servers than BEA, ATG or IBM ?
Can we maybe handle the Turbo functionalities by using the OpenAPI ?
I didn't had the occasion to work with a Turbo nor OpenAPI.

Turbo for IBM and BEA share a common J2EE framework with components that run on TeamSite and on either WLS or WAS. The framework is augmented with custom adapters for BEA and IBM in order to do things like create application server instances (IBM) and automatically package and deploy applications on sandbox assignment. While the framework is generic the adapters are not so Turbo can only be used with the specified application servers.
OpenAPI cannot be used to provide the deep application server integration that exist in IBM and BEA Turbos but it could be used to perform some of the publishing functionality provide in the ATG Turbo.
Turbo has been renamed to TeamTurbo.
