How to export a branch?

I have a branch that isn't used anymore and I would like to archive it and remove it from TeamSite to retreive disk space.

I would like to archive it so that I can reimport it in the future if necessary and be able to access all files history.

This branch do not have a lot of edition, but each of these edition has multiple version of the files (actually, we were not publish edition very often). Because of that, it is not possible for us to export edition directly as file, as we would lost most of the file history (version).

Is there a way to export a TS branch to a flat file or in a folder?

Maybe using a temporary second store?

Yes - a temporary second store, iwmigrate, archive the second store, remove the second store.

To put it back: re-create the second store, un-archive the archive, iwmigrate back into default, remove the second store.

(actually, if memory serves, you can leave the second store around as long as you make sure it is deactivated - but removing it is cleaner all around)
