Removal of user account requirement in OD?

As TeamSite is moving away from having a local user account requirement, is OpenDeploy similarly following suit? If not, this will make things difficult for anyone who is switching over to the new TeamSite model.

This is along the same lines as my SSO post that no one from Interwoven has answered, but curious what other rumors anyone has heard.
