Changing workarea's group

Do you have any idea as how to change the group of a particular workarea??

Run the following command from command promt.

C:\iw-home\bin> iwchgrp

If you have the proper access rights, I believe you can do so by looking at Properties, changing it there and saving the change - though it isn't clear that this is sufficient.

From the file system interface, doing a chgrp -R (or Windows equivalent, since you didn't state the version and platform) should work too.

The best way, however, is probably to just create a new workarea with the correct permissions, copy over (iwupdate) any modified files you want to preserve, and then remove the old workarea

What do you mean by proper access??

I was using Master account and still was not able to do it through GUI. Although through command line it worked well.

I'm using Teamsite 6.5 on Windows Environment.

i think you can only change the branch permissions through the interface not the workareas or files even if you are logged in as master. i did what ghoti said and worked good, create an area move the content to it, delete the other and rename it to what it suppose to be.
