Customize TeamSite GUI

Hi,
Our current module handles Product related content. The dcr for the Product has a field Active/Inactive which is a status indicator. To check whether a Product is Active or not one has to go inside the dcr and can see it.
Our Cutomer's requirement is to customize the TeamSite GUI such that the data folder has one more column as status and it will show the status of corresponding dcr. (Currently the data folder has columns as Name, Modified By, Modified and Edit,Properties)

Is it possible to add this Status as a new column besides the Edit??

If possible please suggest how to do it..
As well I wanted to know how to restrict this change for a perticular workarea.

Looking forward for all kind of suggestions.

To the best of my knowledge there is no documented/supported way to accomplish what you want.

You can certainly try to hack it - at your own risk and expenses. What and how to do depends on your
TS Version, Interface ( Standard or Professional ) and what 'Views' you want to modify.

For example, TS65/Professional/View "All Files" right Pane is rendered by 'iw-cc/command/iw.ccpro.list_directory'
TS Command. That in turn maps to '...ccpro/filesys/area_navigation/lists/list_directory.jsp'.

If you think it's worth it you can modify desired JSPs using 'local.../customer_src' Folders and 'make_toolkit' module,
see "Interwoven® User Interface Customization Guide" for some details.
