Worksite Web 8.0 Web Service problems

Hi, we are running Worksite Web 8.0.78.

It includes a web service for searching documents, located at:
[server]/WorkSite/services/query.asmx

You call the web service with some login credentials and search terms, and it returns a list of documents. It accepts ActiveDirectory login credentials - presumably the web service is implementing a 'trusted login' to log onto the WorkSite database.

The web service works fine for most user's credentials, but when called with certain user's credentials, it returns an Http Status 302 error, with a little HTML message like this:

"Object moved to here"

In the message, the hyperlink (on the word 'here') points to:
/WorkSite/scripts/ReportError.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/worksite/services/query.asmx

Typically, Http 302 errors are returned when a resource has moved, but the web service clearly hasn't moved in this case (because it works OK for other login credentials).

Does anyone know why it returns this weird message for some login credentials, but not for others?

(I've looked for any obvious differences in the users WorkSite and ActiveDirectory accounts, but can't find anything)

This is just a shot in the dark, and I could be off base completely on this. Turn off custom errors in the WorkSite web.config. I think maybe an unhandled exception is occurring, and we have a custom error handler called ReportError.aspx that deals with the error. It seems that for this one user you're getting into an error state that can't be bubbled back to the web service consumer. Also check if you can login to WSW as this user and perform the same search. You might have to create a search profile form with the search attributes.
