Teamsite 6.7.1 login

Hi,

I have installed teamsite 6.7.1. The teamsite server has started and i have manually added some users in the tsusers.xml file. But when i tried either restarting the teamsite server using the CLT iwreset or when i tried logging in with the userid that i have given in the tsuers.xml file, a message "Failure in Operation" is displayed.

But when i tried entering a wrong password a message "Wrong username/password" was displayed.

Can anyone help me out with this? Am I missing something with respect to teamsite configuration?

Was the installation done as a Local Admin or Domain account ?
Do you have a master role user defined now ?

Try adding the 'local admin' user to the tsusers.xml file and see if you can login
else just revert back with to the original tsusers.xml with a "Local Admin"/Master Role and see if that works .

Try it from the GUI see when you click find, do you see the user?

By the when ever you post login failures or any info on devnet, please add Environment Information.

Restore the original tsusers.xml. What happens if you login as default administrator/root?

I'm having the same problem although I have never even touched the tsusers.xml file. The default Administrator login always resulted in Failure in Operation.

Teamsite 6.7.1
OS: Windows Server 2003

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to log in as your Administrator (windows) or root (nix) account without changing anything.

There must be some other problem stopping you from logging in.

Go to iw-home/local/logs and iw-home/local/logs/iwui

Look though all 10 or so files for an event saying ERROR. Post any errors you find + the lines around them here, and we can help you find the problem. Always check those log files first, they are a lifesaver.
