copy attached files

I'm working on a project and need to
1. Copy all the files attached to a workflow to a directory on the TeamSite server
2. ftp those files to a remote server.

Can someone give some input? Thanks

1. You can add an external task to your workflow to do that. Where do you want to copy it to ? A different directory in the same WORKAREA, a different WORKAREA in the same branch, or a WORKAREA in a different branch ? Depending on that, you can make your external task script to simply use the "copy" or "cp" command or use one of IWOV CLTs.
2. Configure OpenDeploy and use an external task in your workflow to invoke a file-list deployment.
Typically, you would want to run this external task after the submit task and deploy those files from STAGING area.

iwovGraduate, thanks for your input. We are copying all the files (DCR, PDF to a different directory in the same WORKAREA). We'll ftp all the files to a remote server and delete all the files thereafter.This is the command I entered but it seems not working.

Try giving full path to copy.exe, for example
"c:\\winnt\\system32\\copy $area......."..

We are running the TEAMSITE on W2K and there is no copy command in winnt\system32 directory. I used <command v = "cmd /c copy b:\TEMP\abc.txt b:\TEMP\def.txt"/>. It seems working because I did not see any error in the iwjoberrors.log file, but the task is not completed and no file was copied.
