Command to kill all workflow jobs

Through the years our users have created thousands of workflow jobs that are hanging around and are causing our system to have slow performance. Is there a command line tool to kill all workflow jobs?

Not really, this would be a very bad thing.

You can write a perl script to find the active jobs and use a CLT to remove them. IMHO, you would be much better served by limiting the scope of what you are deleting, i.e. only jobs with external tasks that are a day old or longer. That is often a big issue.

Finally, I would highly recommend that you change you WF to prevent these. Never write a WF without timeouts on external tasks and those timeouts should go to an Admin task where you can restart or just delete.

We wrote a java cs sdk based custom menu action that does this, but the scope is limited by user, workflow type, etc. It is used mostly to remove workflows that are left in an error state.

I concur with nipper's response. A delete all could be very dangerous.

You did not specify Dev. While this will work, I never suggest it since it could serious make others unhappy, esp in Prod.
