Hi,
MediaBin 4.5.3 is installed on W2K3 server. I am trying to get the MacClient installed and working.
I have installed the WebService on the IIS server which is on a different server from Mediabin. The Mediabin server is inside the firewall and the IIS server is outside the firewall. The authentication mode is LDAP.
I'm able to open up the page on a browser
http:///MediaBinWebService/MediabinServer.asmx
When I invoke the ValidateCurrentUser, it brings back anonymous user
When I invoke the TestMediaBinConnection, the XML response says the user logon failed.
Does this mean the Webservice is not installed and configured properly?
How does the MacClient connect to the Mediabin server? If it is using the Webservice on the IIS server, does it mean that the users inside the firewall will now have to go through the IIS outside the firewall when they use their MacClients?
When I install the MacClient, what should the entry for Server be? Should it be the IP address of the Mediabin server (like we use for Windows Client) or should it be the IP address of the IIS server (as specified in the manual)?
There is also one other field called Path. Can you tell me what this Path is? The manual says "

The file path to the Web service on the MediaBin Asset Server."
In my case, I have the WebService on the IIS server. Should I point to the asmx file on the Webserver - http:///MediaBinWebService/MediabinServer.asmx ?
All help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Resh
