Teamsite Rollback

Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate if someone out there guide me regarding Rollback procedures with in Teamsite.

eg - We are deploying new DCTs, TPL and Workflow changes to current branches. Assume upon applying the code in production and we run into problem. What are the steps that I can take to roll back to previous state?

Any guidance would be really helpful. Thank you as always.

If you are usinga workflow to do all your tasks and functions, then there is no such funationality being provided by Interwoven.

Being said that, you can do that by making a summary of what you have been performed till the step from where you need a roolback. For example, if you have a submit task, somewhere and now you need to rollback, you have to take all the attached files and push it to last version using your own customised script.

There are multiple ways to do it. Very often they are variations of the following theme:

1. Create a Deployment Configuration to Deploy an Edition given as -k.
2. Create a script Task to Deploy an Edition Passed as a parameter using Configuration from #1.
3. Create a Deployment Workflow that Publishes an Edition and Deploys it. Deployment External
task will be using a script from #2.
4. Create a RollBack Workflow that allows Administrator to chose some prior Edition and Deploy that
using a script from #2. That in essence rolls system's state back to the Edition you've chosen.

There are few details to take care of in this scenario, most important of them are Comparison rules.
