DEPLOY_CONFIG_FILE errors

We have been getting these types of errors (about once a day) lately. The OD environment/configuration has been untouched for about a year and has been working without problems. Once the error happens, it stalls the workflow process (i.e. any succeeding iwodcmd commands fails) and the only resolution we have found is to restart the server.

It doesn't seem to be some configuration/evironment/code issue as it resolves itself by doing a reboot.

I have browsed through some similar problems in the forum but have seen such problems occuring during development or configuration of an environment. Has anyone experienced this intermittent/unpredictable behavior?

Did you apply any patches to your server lately? Did you upgrade you JVM by any chance? Is your upgraded version a compatible one?

I believe this is not the most up-to-date version of OpenDeploy. Do you believe that may be causing it?

BTW, the server has been updated with the latest TeamSite 6.5 SP3 build. The JVM has not been upgraded.

Is this happening only for this deployment? If yes, please attach the deployment.xml file to your post.
What version of TS are you using?

The error occurs intermittently and happens on any deployment. The reboot clears the problem. TS version is 6.5.0 SP3. Thx!

did you mention the version in deploy.cfg or daemon.cfg I think? Check the documentation.. or just look at the file examples..

If it goes away with reboot, then it is not TS Version.

Do you see any errors that mention LOG_UTIL_RENAME or anything like that ? There is a bug, 60224, which is fixed in 6.0.2 SP1 for this issue. You may want to try that

I have updated with OD build 6.0.2.1.1 Build 63713 Interwoven 20070208.

This patch includes fixes to the following bugs that may relate to our issues:

70010 OD core dumps/exits intermittently due to sciface errors
63448 FileList deployment hangs/core dumps, when read operation fails on a file handle.

Hopefully this fixes our problems.
