In v 5.0.1 on NT, a user only needed to have change access to the file they want to change and change access to that folder.

In v 5.0.2 on NT, a user must have read access to ALL folders above the one of interest.

REALLY bad things happen when they don't (like DCRs are deleted).

How can I change the permissions on all the folders in my system (www and templatedata) to have "everyone:read"?

I've corrected our submit.cfg file (correctly, I think) to put this on as files get submitted, but I don't want to submit every file on the system because people have outstanding work that would then cause conflicts that would have to be resolved.

Any ideas?

I opened a case with IWOV and they tell me that it is not related to the 5.0.2 upgrade. Since they changed the permissions scheme (see page 8 of the release notes) I think they added this 'feature' inadvertently.
