Can I speed up or use more threads for HotFolders

We’re doing some work with HotFolders where we are importing a lot of data. However, I’ve noticed that the tool is throttled to only process ~4 files at a time. I need to override that somehow or is there another way I can speed it up?

I tried configuring a second machine with the HotFolder Editor and Service but, it looks as though the HotFolder architecture is smart enough to create a queue.

What can I do?

Are you certain that you are not bound by MaxConcurrentJobs on the server? Most of what is left is determined by bandwidth and slicing it up should not generally improve throughput. However, depending on the specifics of your set-up you might consider multiple hot folders with the same behavior.

Thanks for answering. Working with Mark, we determined what the issue is. It's not that the server wasn't using all threads but, the it looks as through the HotFolder is a little slow at queuing the jobs.

If I set the Max Concurrent jobs to 0, let the HotFolder queue 30 or so jobs, then start it, it shows all the threads working simultaneously.
