Upgrading from 6.1 to 6.7.1 Lost Versions

Hi and thanks for everyones previous help in this forum.

I have a quick query I wanted to verify with other users. We are in the process of upgrading from TS 6.1 to TS 6.7.1 and have been informed that all our previous versioning information relating to DCRs will be lost during the upgrade and we would need to start from fresh with the most recent version of the content. Aparently this is because we do not take editions and some of our content in branches were not yet fit for staging consumption - so we can't just submit everything from branches to staging. Can this really be true?

Is it not possible for the current staging content to be migrated with all the versioning information intact?

Hi,

You have to submit the content to make it visible in the edition that is going to be created. Its always a best practice to create an edition with major developement work completed.
However, the issue of losing versions has been reported earlier too. Check with support for the ideal migration steps in your case.
